Since I was in the process of cleaning my bathroom anyway, I decided to test the linoleum cleaner recipe on the bathroom floor. Here are the before pictures:
Instead of the microfiber pad mop I used on the kitchen test, I used a sponge mop for the bathroom. The home-made linoleum cleaner was successful at getting up the loose dirt in the upper left picture. However, it made no dent in any of the tougher or deeper stains. I had to use the mop's brush to scrub into design crevices of the linoleum surface. I also had to scrape off the larger particles (seen in the 2 bottom pictures) with my thumbnail.
In conclusion, the original linoleum cleaner recipe is great for surface cleaning. It is not, unfortunately, acceptable for stuck on materials. I will have to continue my search for a more powerful recipe while I use up that batch I made.
